Born in Paris, now living in Lisbon and raised on house – that’s just about all Brawther wants to tell you. You’ll have to glean anything else you need to know from his music. So far he has selectively released it into the wider world, but on esteemed labels like secretsundaze , Cabinet and My Love Is Underground. It varies from pad-laced daydreams to tough edged 4/4 beats, always displaying such true school ideals that it wasn’t long before he became a close friend and protégé of US pioneer Chez Damier.
As a DJ he is as comfortable playing Circo Loco at DC-10 as he is at fabric, Panorama Bar or Glastonbury, and so too does Berlin’s best kept secret Heidegluhen come calling for his services on a regular basis. Brawther is also the man behind record label Negentropy as well as the imprint and production partnership Dungeon Meat, a like-minded collaboration with Tristan da Cunha. Very much prising quality over quantity, Brawther knows just when to release his records into the wider world. When he does, it seems the world takes note.
