Perdu knew early on that he wanted to make furore behind the decks. He started out at local parties playing extended sets in his hometown of Leiden, after which he has grown to a household name that plays at major events such as DGTL Festival, Festimi, Percolate London and Zeezout to name a few. Guided by a wide range of 90s influenced tracks, he always manages to find those specific sweet spots in every set that excite and surprise the dancefloor.
Next to digging and spinning records, he spends his days crafting sounds in the studio. At first he started with making personal edits of a wide range of classic and obscure tracks, but soon after he created his own sound and developed his instantly recognisable productions. The expression of the musical journey of discovery can be heard on his very first EP Mystical Choices, released on none other than New York’s Let’s Play House.
After some experimentation with new gear, Perdu’s made the next step and released his Alteration EP on Optimo’s fresh imprint Digital Danceforce. This is where you can hear that Perdu really found his voice, a unique combination of old school house groove and italo euphoria. The ball started rolling and Perdu pumped out releases on respected labels as Live at Robert Johnson, Optimo Music, and most recently on David Vunk’s Moustache Records, which immediately sold out!
Now spending more time than ever before in the studio, Perdu will undoubtedly continue to make his mark on the house music scene and on dancefloors across the globe.
